Dr Pippa Birkin continues to see patients during the Covid 19 Pandemic.

As growth in community transmission and the number of clusters around various parts of NSW increases it has become clear that we are going to have to adjust to a new normal of operating with COVID-19 risks. Due to this, please be advised of the following key points. You may choose to wear a mask to your appointment but please refrain from wearing gloves. You will be required to use hand sanitiser upon entry to our room. Dr Pippa & staff will wear a mask if coming into close contact with you or your child.

ONE PATIENT + ONE CARER ONLY to attend all appointments (Max 2 persons per appointment, no siblings). We can dial in another carer to be on the phone for the appointment if required.

PLEASE WAIT IN THE CAR ON ARRIVAL TO THE CLINIC - This is something that will be ongoing. We have had great success with children and families waiting in their own environment in their cars.

PLEASE TEXT US ON ARRIVAL (0490 327 014) so we can reply when Dr Pippa is ready for you.  You may like to add our phone number to your phone to make it easier (0490 327 014). This is aimed at minimising the number of people in the waiting room and anxiety associated with waiting for appointments in an unfamiliar environment.

DO NOT attend an appointment if:

  • You are at all unwell with cold or flu like symptoms

  • You have travelled to any of the known hotspots within the last 14 days

  • You have been in contact with anyone with a confirmed case of COVID

If you meet the above criteria:

  • You must immediately self-isolate for14 days

  • You must get tested even if you have no symptoms

  • Watch for COVID-19 symptoms and get retested should any symptoms recur

  • Even if return a negative test, must stay in isolation for 14 days (this is because it can take 14 days before you may show symptoms or test positive)

  • Phone our office to reschedule your appointment or we may be able to offer a telehealth consult.
